Cookie Policy

What are Cookies?
To comply with the law, I must explain a little bit about how I use cookies. I'm not talking about the tasty chocolate chip variety; I'm talking about little text files.

What's in a Cookie?
Most websites that you visit use cookies. A cookie is a harmless little text file stored on your device. It contains some anonymous information such as a unique identifier and the site name, and some digits and numbers.  Cookies are not dangerous and cannot be used to circulate viruses.

About the Cookies
This website uses two types of cookies, functional and non-essential.
The functional cookies are essential to operate key features on my site. These include:

  • Chatting to me online

  • Ensuring popups and announcements don't reappear after you close them

If you give me your permission, I also use some non-essential cookies for analytics and performance. They help me understand how you use our website which in turn allows me to improve your experience. These cookies are only enabled if you click 'Got it!' on my cookie banner. If you agreed to accept non-essential cookies and wish to revoke this, you can delete them from your browser. This article (externally hosted) explains how to delete cookies in every major browser.

Can I Block Cookies?
I don't recommend that you block all cookies as it will prevent you from using certain features of my site, like chatting to me. However, I take the law seriously and so I block all non-essential cookies until you click 'Got it!' on my cookie banner.
